FAQs

My school needs a copy of your company insurance document

No problem, please email and we'll send you a PDF copy.

Can I have a copy of risk assessments before your visit

Of course, once we've discussed a programme and settled on the most appropriate  activities for your pupils we'll email them to you. We'll also send our current COVID-19 risk assessment.

Why don't you list all the activities you offer

We offer a vast amount of team building and problem solving activities -  over 40.  We're also developing variations and new activities on a regular basis so it would be quite a confusing list.  Some activities are suitable only for older pupils, some for younger pupils, that's why it's important for us to discuss what works best for you and your pupils.

Do your instructors have first aid qualifications

Absolutely.  NGB (national governing body) organisations require a valid first aid certificate to keep your NGB valid. Most instructors will have a 2 day OFA (outdoor first aid) certificate, some will have a 3 day FAW (first aid at work). Others additional expedition or paediatric certificates.

We hope not to need to use our first aid skills in a practical sense and we carry a first aid kit with us.

Do you clean the equipment after each visit

Yes. Even before the outbreak of COVID-19 equipment was checked and cleaned, particularly if it had been used in dirty/muddy areas.  Now we carry surface disinfectant and hand sanitiser gel.  For equipment like buckets, tubs, poles, hoops we can wipe them down with disinfectant.  Ropes and soft fabric like blindfolds would be damaged by this treatment so we follow the industry recommendation of either washing the fabric or taking ropes out of circulation for 72 hours.  We spent a proportion of the lockdown making duplicate sets of equipment so we have enough for a split day. We'll also ask pupils to use hand sanitiser before handling any soft equipment like ropes or blindfolds.

Your booking form asks for permission to take photos/video

It does, we use photos and video on our website and promotional material which is why we ask for permission.  You are welcome to see or have a copy of any image or video we have of your pupils.  Likewise we will ask you for a copy of images if you have a member of teaching staff taking photographs.
